If you are looking for a unique educational experience in entrepreneurship, California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) is the perfect place for you! Located approximately 60 miles east of metropolitan Los Angeles in the Inland Empire region of southern California. CSUSB is a regional, comprehensive university that offers more than 70 traditional baccalaureate and master's degree programs along with a wide variety of education credential and certificate programs to a student body of 17,500. CSUSB is one of the most scenic campuses in California, with spacious grounds silhouetted by the San Bernardino Mountains. Modern buildings are spread thoughtfully throughout its 430 acres, and greenery greets the eye everywhere. While just a short distance from mountains and beaches, the campus offers the advantage of being removed from the Los Angeles-area traffic.

The Inland Empire, home to CSUSB, is a region of 3.2 million people that boasts rolling hills, forested mountains, broad deserts, open valleys, and cosmopolitan cities along with a Mediterranean climate (more than 330 sunny days a year with temperatures ranging from 58° in winter to 107° in summer).

The College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA), home to the Entrepreneurship program, is located in Jack H. Brown Hall, a $26-million building completed in 1994 and named for Jack H. Brown, CEO of Stater Bros. Markets who built a small family owned grocery store operation to a Fortune 500 company that is the largest privately owned supermarket chain in California. The CBPA is fully accredited by the AACSB and NASPAA, and is one of the leading business schools in Southern California. The mission of the college is as an applied business program plays a key role in developing an educated and entrepreneurial workforce that in turn enables the community to attract and keep quality jobs in the region. Providing over 17 concentrations in both undergraduate and graduate degree programs, with campuses in San Bernardino and Palm Desert, the CBPA has produced over 13,000 graduates--the majority of whom live and work in the growing and booming economy of Southern California.

Entrepreneurship Facilities

The CSUSB Entrepreneurship program maintains its own state of the art, dedicated classroom for entrepreneurship students. Located in the "west wing" of Jack Brown Hall along with the faculty and staff offices of the entrepreneurship program, CSUSB's entrepreneurship classroom comfortably seats up to 40 students in both conference room and lecture style format and allows for learning in large and small groups. Featuring executive chairs (every seat with power for laptop computers), a full wireless node in the class, and an array of instructional technology including a 60" plasma screen presentation monitor, sound system, and fully equipped wireless student computer lab, the entrepreneurship classroom provides entrepreneurship students with the finest and most professional instructional faculty at Cal State San Bernardino. In addition, entrepreneurship students have access to two dedicated meeting rooms for entrepreneurship students and a student lounge, as well access to the full facilities of the College of Business and Public Administration.

In addition to educational facilities, CSUSB offers a full array of recreational opportunities for students, including the new Student Recreation & Fitness Center, a 38,000 square foot facility schedule to open in February 2007 which will include will feature a state-of-the-art fitness room, multi-purpose gym, exercise rooms, and climbing wall. For dining and entertainment options on campus, the Santos Manuel Student Center, an 83,000 square foot facility at the center of campus includes dining areas with restaurant choices such as Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks; office space for student clubs and organizations; a 200-seat theater for films, concerts and speakers; meeting rooms; student lounges and a large two-story "living room" area at the hub of the building that encourages student networking and socializing.

University Village

CSUSB also offers a variety of on-campus housing options, including the newly constructed University Village, which features 132 fully-furnished units with a choice of 3 floor plans. Featuring all private bedrooms, University Village is ideally suited for upper-division students looking for independent, upscale living with the convenience of being located right across the street from campus. In addition, a wide variety of off campus housing apartment, home, and condominium options are available within walking distance of the campus.
